Typically, Veterans are the forgotten heroes of our modern day. They are the "greeters" at the local store, the security guard at your college, the truck driver delivering to your place of business or the old man at the end of the bar telling the same stories every night. I would like to remind you that at one point in every Veteran's life they have sacrificed their own safety for the safety of America and all that she stands for. They are fathers, mothers, wives, husbands, sisters, brothers, friends... hard-working men and women who believe in the ideals of this great nation we call The United States of America. They are true patriots who should be honored on a daily basis and not just on Veteran's Day or Memorial Day. I say this not just as a Veteran, but as an American who respects what selfless service is and has great admiration for those protecting me. May the banner of Freedom wave forever and may we never forget those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect the people of The United States of America. God Bless you all!
Richard M. Wolff,
JO1, USN (Vet.)
