My Achievements

While I consider my greatest achievement in life so far to be how many times I was able to help someone in need, society judges us on our edcational background in most cases. I have found out one thing upon returning to school and that is that education alone does not ensure knowledge. Some of my instructors over the years have never and will never know what it is like to work as a journalist in the military and how independent you must be in that role. I applaud all who have undergone the hardships of independent duty as a military journalist over the years because, to me, they are truly outstanding individuals who know the definition of sacrifice and service to country. I by no means wish to diminish my college experience and I fully understand the necessity of college, but seriously, college has been much easier than I expected it to be. What I have learned in college basically is that everyone learns at a different level and typically will do the bare minimum to get by. I, on the other hand, will go out of my way above and beyond what is expected because that is my nature. I have completed an AAS and a Bachelor's Degree, and have just started on an MBA.

My goal is to obtain the highest level I can and one day make a difference in the lives of the average American. By average American, I mean those like me living within their meager means, not those who are above the curve. The majority of Americans are like me, ekeing by, trying to do the right things in life. They say when you obtain a degree that you are afforded all the rights and responsibilities of your efforts. Well, many take advantage of the rights but fail to hold their end of the bargain when it comes to responsibility. That responsibility is to mankind in my eyes. When all you see is fame and fortune, you neglect to see what life is all about. We only spend a short time here and I hope to utilize my time wisely in the future by making this a better world for those after I am gone.
